We come together to honor Uganda’s Independence Day—a day of deep historical significance and national pride. This celebration marks Uganda’s journey to sovereignty on October 9, 1962, and serves as a moment to reflect on the strength, resilience, and unity of the Ugandan people both at home and in the diaspora.

Our event will feature traditional Ugandan music, dance, cuisine, and storytelling to celebrate the vibrant culture and heritage that unites us. It’s also a time to recognize the achievements and contributions of Ugandans around the world, while inspiring the next generation to carry forward the values of freedom, identity, and community.

Whether you were born in Uganda, have roots there, or simply support the Ugandan community, this is a time to stand in solidarity and pride, remembering where we come from and envisioning a brighter future together.
